Time Enough For Love - Robert Heinlein

4/5... DNF
Ended on paperback pg 138 (Counterpoint IV).

The entire book appears to be conversation between Lazerous (who is the oldest person in the world) and a colony leader. There is a longer term plot - about why they woke Lazerous up from near death, but Heinlein isn't quick about getting there.

Should pick up and read more later.

Off Armegeddon Reef - David Weber

3/5

Interesting idea - Earth is killed off and a last colony of humans are sent to another planet but literally the fear of god is put into them against developing technology for fear of the aliens getting to the planet.

Turns out a loan pica (cyborg) is set to wake up after 800 years and tell the people the truth. This doesn't really happen though. There are a bunch of interesting wars going on in old school naval battle style - but no real progress is made towards fighting off the aliens or getting back to earth, etc. I assume there must be sequels, but I wouldn't be interested enough to read them. Don't think I'll read Weber again.

Tom Robbins - Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas

DNF....

Just couldn't do it, written in the second person. I am a 20 something chica who is interested only in the stock market and making a buck. Really annoying and drawn out. Didn't feel compelled to continue reading and just really didn't care about anyone in the book or the book itself. Pass.
